Electric Rolls-Royce Makes Asian Entrance in Seoul

Luxury automaker Rolls-Royce has unveiled the brand’s first all-electric model “Spectre” in South Korea, as it eyes further growth in Asia’s fourth-biggest economy.

At its presentation in the South Korean capital, Rolls-Royce said it received the highest number of preorders in the region from the fast-growing South Korean market, however, the company did not specify the preorder figure.

The fully electric Spectre is available at a starting price of 620 million South Korean Won (US$486,000) in Korea, with the price rising depending on additional options.

The company said the preordered Spectres will start being delivered to Korean customers in the fourth quarter of 2023.

In a statement Irene Nikkein, the Asia-Pacific regional general manager of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars said: “I am pleased to introduce the Spectre, the most highly anticipated model in Rolls-Royce history, for the first time in Korea and the Asia-Pacific region.”

“The Spectre embodies the bold electrified future presented by Rolls-Royce, combining the essence of true engineering with modern design and representing the effortless super-luxury experience that is natural to the brand.”
