Cleantech Solar, a provider of renewable energy solutions to corporations in Southeast Asia and India, has commissioned and installed the second phase of a rooftop solar PV system for Kellogg Asia at their manufacturing facility in Bandar Enstek, Malaysia.

Cleantech Solar has provided the end-to-end solar solution and will guarantee the performance of the system throughout the term of the agreement, the combined capacity of the rooftop solar project is 3.1 MWp.

This partnership is expected to generate over 63.5 GWh of clean electricity, which is equivalent to offsetting approximately 46 kilotonnes of CO2 emissions.

In line with their sustainable business practices promise this project will lower greenhouse gas emissions and provide Kellogg Asia with clean electricity to power their manufacturing without any capital investment.

“This project will contribute to Kellogg’s comprehensive sustainability strategy, helping them protect the environment by way of powering operations with cost-efficient green energy that will improve their bottom line as well as contribute towards Malaysia’s decarbonisation efforts,” said Sachin Jain, CEO of Cleantech Solar.

Headquartered in Singapore, Cleantech Solar has numerous solar and wind projects across India and Southeast Asia, covering approximately 1GWp of assets in operations, construction, and development stages. This includes installations in India, Singapore, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
